Jones

George William Jones, 84, of Fruitdale died Dec. 22, 2006 at a local hospital.

He was born Jan. 20, 1922 in Chatom. He was a retired selfemployed pulpwood dealer.

Survivors include one son, Crawford Jones, Lucedale, Miss.; one daughter, Drusilla Turner, Chatom; one sister, Clara Mae Sheffield, Jackson; 11 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren.

The service was Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with Rev. Dewayne Williams officiating. Burial was in the Fairhope Baptist Cemetery in Chatom.

Active pallbearers were Nollie R. Dees, Otis Gray, Don Abston, Calvin Dees, Tom Dees and David Gardner.

Jordan

Jesse Ray Jordan, 78, of Grove Hill died Dec. 22, 2006 in a local hospital.

He was born Jan. 25, 1928. He was a member of the Grove Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired owner of Jordan's Cleaners.

Survivors include his wife, Willodene Dunn Jordan, Grove Hill; one son, Ray Jordan, Grove Hill; four daughters, Kay Horton, Jackson, Debbie James, Baton Rouge, La., Karen Brooks, Ashley Fuller, both of Grove Hill; two brothers, Bryant Jordan, Grove Hill, Milton Jordan, Panama City, Fla.; one sister, Bernice Causey, Grove Hill; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

The service was Dec. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Grove Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Boone and Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed.

Lowery

John Stephen Lowery, 41, of Jackson died Dec. 25, 2006 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 22, 1965. He was a native of Atmore. He was a member of the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church in Bratt, Fla. He was a member of the Santa Fe Lodge #226. He was an operator with Boise Converting Plant.

Survivors include his father, Billy Lowery, Jackson; his stepmother, June Ferrell Lowery; fiancée, Luanne Tharp, Walnut Hill, Fla.; one son, John Michael Lowery, Jackosn; two brothers, Barney Lowery, Jackson, Jeremy Lowery, Pensacola, Fla.

The service will be Thursday, (today), Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be in the Bratt-Godwin Cemetery in Bratt, Fla.
