Johnny Cleveland (J.C.) Turner Jr., (known locally as Gates) 59, of Thomasville died Dec. 22, 2006 at his residence.

He was born Sept. 13, 1947.

He was a Vietnam

veteran. He was a member of the New Greater First Baptist Church.

Survivors include several aunts and cousins.

The service was Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at the New Greater First Baptist Church in Thomasville. Burial was in the New Hope #2 Cemetery in Thomasville. Thomasville Memorial Funeral Home directed.
