Lawrence William Sloma, 64, of Grove Hill died Dec. 27, 2006 at Mobile Infirmary.
He was born Dec. 27, 1942 in Trout Creek, Mich. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Faye Sloma, Grove Hill; one daughter, Annette Suzanne Dailey, Marysville, Wash.; two stepsons, Jeffrey Latham, Grove Hill, Eddie Sims, Millry; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Newton, Scyrene; two brothers, Ronnie Sloma, Clear Water, Fla., Robert Lespi, Millbrook; four sisters, Brenda Metas, Carol Niemi, both of Bruce Crossing, Mich., Diana Maki, Trout Creek, Mich.
The service was Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. with Revs. Bealie Harrison and Randall Mims officiating. Burial was in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Scyrene. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
Active pallbearers were Rod Laduron, Jeff Laduron, Nicholas Laduron, Darrell Stokes, David Stokes and Galen Stokes.
