Maggie Dickinson, 74, died Nov. 24, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, New York.
She was born Nov. 7, 1932 to the late Louella Owens and the late James Dickinson.
Survivors include one son, Darryl Wayne Burroughs, Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Cora Hinton, Rochester, N.Y., Cynthia (Alfhonza) Harris, Whatley; three brothers, Robert (Irene) Hill, Whatley, Albert (Helen) Hill, San Francisco, Calif., Tommy Hill, Las Vegas, NV; four sisters, Eunice (Heary) Rodgers, Bertha Ezell, all of Whatley; Willie Evorn (Earl Jay) Chapman, Jamacia, N.Y., Dorothy Rathers, Delaware; one sister-in-law, Rosetta Pendleton, Whatley; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one devoted niece, Dorothy Pendleton, Brooklyn, N.Y. and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Leonard Laffitte; sister, Etta Rhee Bryant; brother, Truman Pendleton; grandchild, Marie Hinton and son-in-law, Thomas Hinton Jr.
The service was Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of G.L. Dixon Funeral Home, LLC, in Rochester, N.Y. with Rev. Delores Simpson officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were SteVon Lewis, Demingo Hinton, Alfhonza Harris, Jerry Hinton, Thomas Hinton III and Frank Hill.
