Arthur Botter McLean Jr., age 70, a native of Mobile, died Friday Jan. 12, 2007 at Providence Hospital.
He was a graduate of Murphy High School and attended marion Military Institute and Auburn University where he was a member of the band. He was employed as an accountant at International Paper Company for 39 years as a plant accountant at the Brookley bag plant (Kraft Packaging Division). He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, an active member of the Greystone Christian Booster Club, and attended Springhill Baptist Church.
He was born August 22, 1936, the son of Arthur Botter McLean Sr and Callie Dudley McLean.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jo Ann Brewer McLean of Mobile, daughters Lynn Brewer McLean of New Orleans, LA, Noel Ann McLean of Hattiesburg, MS and son Arthur Botter McLean III of Thomasville.
The service was held from the graveside on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 until 12 Noon. Interment was in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to either Springhill Baptist Church, 2 S. McGregor at Old Shell Rd.
