L. Elaine Davis Clark of Tibbie died March 17, 2007 at an area hospital.
She was a native of Clarke County. She was a charter member of the Howardtown Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Billy W. Clark, Tibbie; three sons, Jimmie L. (Brenda) Clark, Maplesville, Mark Clark, Fowl River, Mitchell Clark, Tibbie; four daughters, Sandra Elaine (Johnny) Robinson, Marilyn T. (Bob) Van Bemen, Alicia (Danny) Brunson, Robin Lamey, all of Mobile; three sisters, Georgie Marie Jordan, Shirley Jean Gardner, Patricia June Herring, all of Chickasaw; 10 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
A graveside service was March 20 at 11 a.m. at Howardtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Chatom directed.
Gloria Lynn Hoven, 69, of Salitpa died March 18, 2007 at a local hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 16, 1937. She was a member of River Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired receptionist with First United Security Bank.
Survivors include her husband, Sidney Hoven, Salitpa; stepmother, Lola Carter, Salitpa; three sons, Stewart Hoven, Prattville, Harold Hoven, Danny Hoven, both of Salitpa; one daughter, Martha Lynn Dunagan, Leroy; two brothers, Gaines Carter, Witch Creek, Pete Carter, Mobile; nine grandchildren.
The service was March 20 at 2 p.m. at River Hill Baptist Church with Revs. Wilton Bennett, Henry Creel and Al Dykeman officiating. Burial was in the River Hill Baptist Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
Active pallbearers were George Hudson, Gerry Pugh, John L. Carter, Will Betancourt, Robert Brannan and Dan Hoven.
Honorary pallbearers were First United Security Bank employees.
