Maggie Inez Thompson, 88, of Vineland died March 28, 2007 at her residence.

She was born Sept. 2, 1918 in Sweet Water. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include six sons, James Calvin Thompson, Theodore, John Bruce Thompson, Nicholsville, Ronny Thompson, Scyrene, Paul Thompson, Donald Lee Thompson, both of Vineland, Michael Ray Thompson, Putnam; two daughters, Betty Jane McGilberry, Sweet Water, Debra T. Dungan, Vineland; one sister, Annie Hill, Dixons Mills; 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, three brother-in-laws and three sister-inlaws.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Thompson and two sons, Roy Edward Thompson and Glen David Thompson.

The service was March 30 at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Brooks Etheridge and John Averitt officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Vineland. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Jim Thompson, David Thompson, Michael Thompson, Pat Thompson, Frank McGilberry and Michael A. Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Thompson, Buddy Thompson, Michael Quinton Thompson and Joey Thompson.
