Johnny Sargent, 64, of Frankville died May 21, 2007 following an illness at the home of his sister, Cora.
He was born Jan. 27, 1943. He was a member of the Church of the Living God in Coffeeville. Earlier in life he resided in Tampa, Fla. where he retired from Robbins Manufacturing Company.
Survivors include his wife, Mable Causey Sargent, Vinegar Bend; two daughters, Miranda Durr, Magee, Miss., Felecia (Ricky) Britt, Enterprise; two step-sons, Shawn Sargent, Aaron Sargent, both of Sacramento, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Dawn (Marzette) McKinnis, Warrensburg, Miss.; two brothers, Woodrow (Jessie) Sargent, Tacoma, Wash., Richard (Etta) Sargent, Thomasville; two sisters, Cora (Earl) Martin, Rosie (Daniel) Barnes, all of Frankville; 13 grandchildren.
The service was May 26 at 11 a.m. at the True Light Baptist Church in Koenton with Rev. Austin Kidd officiating. Burial was in the Easy Hill Cemetery. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
