Audrey Margaret Lynn, 67, of Sweet Water died June 20, 2007 at her residence.

She was born Oct. 30, 1939 in Louisiana. She was a member of Hoboken Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas "Buddy" Lynn, Sweet Water; her mother, Cecile Barnett, Livingston; three sons, David (Carolyn) Lynn, Jackson, Kenneth Lynn, Marvin (Cindy) Lynn, all of Thomasville; four daughters, Peggy (Steve) Pugh, Jessica Smith, all of Thomasville, Patty (Donnie) Nelson, Fulton, Brenda (O'Neal) Baugh, Grove Hill; five brothers, Winfred Traylor, Bashi, Ernest Jordan, Monroeville, Morris Jordan, Uniontown, Bobby Barnett, Demopolis, John Barnett, Little Rock, Ark., five sisters, Betty Traylor, Bashi, Madeline Thurn, Livingston, Sue German, Tennessee, Marie Posey, Huntsville, Grace Wilkerson, Thomasville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Leon Barnett.

The service was June 23 at 2 p.m. at the Hoboken Baptist Church with Rev. Warren Huggins officiating. Burial was in the Hoboken Baptist Church Cemetery. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Billy Dennison, Mike Newton, Junior Newton, Tommy, Dungan, Ben Lynn, Todd Pierce.

Honorary pallbearers were Thomas Anderson, Lee Dennison, Jerry Ray Dunn, Bruce Etheridge, Bobby Smith and Deacons of Hoboken Baptist Church.


Ora Jewel Jones Norris, 94, of Dixons Mills died June 18, 2007 at Huntsville Hospital.

She was born Nov. 3, 1912 in Bronson, Fla. She was a homemaker. She joined the Dixons Mills Baptist Church in 1934 where she was a faithful member and a Sunday school teacher. She was an avid gardener.

Survivors include five daughters, Martha N. (Perry) Pruett, Madison, June Cassity, Dixons Mills, Barbara (Michael) Matthews, Mobile, Margaret (W.F.) Green, Arlington, Mary (Robert) Morgan, Virginia; one brother, Calvin Jones, Jacksonville, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel B. Norris and a son, Joel J. Norris.

The service was June 22 at 11 a.m. at Dixons Mills Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Martindale officiating. Burial was in the Dunning Cemetery in Dixons Mills. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Jimmy Norris, Christopher Cassity, Vincent Mathews, Michael Mathews, Jonathan Gokee, Jordan Huff, Carson Woodward and Bobby Norris.
