Mary Austeen Dismukes Cogle, 87, of Thomasville died July 1, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 9, 1919 in Pine Hill to the late Russell and Mary Olive Davis Dismukes. She spent her early years in Shiloh. She was a graduate of Dixons Mills High School. In May 1938 she married Bruce A. Cogle Jr. They lived out their married life in Thomasville. She was a member of numerous clubs and volunteer programs. She was a dedicated member of Central Baptist Church in Dixons Mills. She loved to share her faith with others.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Bruce A. Cogle Jr., Thomasville; one son, Bruce A. (Kathy) Cogle III, Fairhope; two daughters, Rosalyn (Robert) Templin, Lillian, Mary Olive (Jimmy) Hasty, Linden; one brother, Jack (Marie) Dismukes, Spanish Fort; two sisters, Margie (Bob) Kindle, Jacksonville, Fla., Eloise D. Todd, Dublin, Va.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ronald Cogle.

The service was July 6 at 3 p.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with Revs. Aaron Carpenter and Nathan Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Robert Templin Jr., Robert Templin III, Jim Hasty, Scott Altorfer, Bruce Cogle IV and Lee Hamilton.
