Phyllis Merle Allison Sibley, 66, of Jackson died Sept. 18, 2007.
She was born Nov. 28, 1940 in Perryville, Arkansas. She worked for Dalton Oil, Gary, IN; Perry County Bank, Allison Ford/Morrilton, Balch Oldsmobile/Little Rock, Perry County Sheriff's Department - Deputy Sheriff/Tax Collector, First Baptist Church/Perryville Secretary/Treasurer and Pianist/Organist, Boise Cascade, Jackson; Member of First Baptist Church of Jackson where she sang in the First Baptist Church adult choir, helped with the First Baptist Church children's choir, Jackson Health Action Red Hat Waterbugs, and Jackson Garden Club. She was a woman who loved the Lord, her family, life and people and had a smile always on her face.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Sibley; her mother, Era Allison; one son, Mark Sibley, Perryville, Ark.; two daughters, Vicky Sibley (Gene) Smith, Lewisville, Ark., Debra Diane (Randall) Sibley-Bryant, Jackson; two brothers, Carroll (Kathy) Allison, Michael (Patty) Allison; one sister, Patricia (Junior) Holland; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter, several nephews, nieces, an aunt, cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Merrell Leroy Allison.
A memorial service was Sept. 20 at First Baptist Church from 6 until 6:30 and visitation was from 6:30 until 8 p.m. She was transported to her hometown of Perryville, Ark., where there was a funeral service at First Baptist Church in Perryville, Ark. on Sept. 22 at 10 a.m. Burial was in the Perryville Ragsdale Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home, Inc. of Jackson, Inc. and Harris Funeral Home of Perryville, Ark. directed.
