Eunice Cody Morrow, 85, of Grove Hill died Dec. 6, 2007 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 7, 1922 in Marengo County. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Selma. She was a member of the Selma Jets Camping Club and the National Campers and Hikers Association. She was a retired secretary.
Survivors include one sister, Lois Ruth Davis, Fulton; one brother, James Miller Ross, Sweet Water; several nephews and nieces.
A graveside service was Dec. 8 in the New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma at 10 a.m. with Rev. Maurice Dyess officiating. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
Betty Jo Newton, 56, of Grove Hill died Dec. 4, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary.
She was born March 5, 1951 in Selma. She was a member of the Thomasville Church of God. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Newton, Thomasville; two sons, Danny Gates Jr., Creedmoor, N.C., Kenneth Gates, Grove Hill; one daughter, Connie Kearley, Brunswick, Ga.; three brothers, Billy Ray Watford, Grove Hill, Charles Watford, James Cecil Watford, both of Millbrook; two sisters, Rosemary Guy, Thomasville, Eunice Girlie, Selma; four grandchildren.
The service was Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Benny Crawford officiating. Burial was in the Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill.
Active pallbearers were Greg Lewis, Michael Phillips, Jason McGee, Jeremy Ogle, Jonathan Ogle and Larry Joe Rotton.
