Coffeeville High School invites everyone to come see new lab on Jan. 8

Coffeeville High School is inviting everyone to come and see the new ACCESS Interactive Videoconferencing (IVC) Lab on January 8, 2007. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. through 2 p.m.

ACCESS, which stands for Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators and Students Statewide, is a statewide distance learning initiative that allows schools to help other schools by offering advanced level courses and electives that may not otherwise be available. Presently, ACCESS Distance Learning is offering 32 web-based courses and 25 videoconferencing courses. The IVC lab enables Coffeeville High School students to participate with other educational communities and offers experiences that they would not receive otherwise therefore, ensuring equity in education to rural students.

The Interactive Videoconferencing Lab provides support for teachers and principals by bringing professional development and additional technology resources directly to Coffeeville High School and into the classroom. This 21st Century Classroom offers unlimited educational possibilities for all.
