Calhoun-Carter to marry Jan. 13

Capt. Carter, Miss Calhoun
Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Calhoun Jr. of Madison, Miss. announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Calhoun, to Captain John R Carter, son of the late Donald Carter and Quinette Carter of Dallas, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Calhoun Sr., of Grove Hill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Halbert Crowe of Starkville, Miss.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Carter of Philadelphia, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Neal Ray of Kosciusko, Miss.

Miss Calhoun is a graduate of Clinton High School, Samford University, and Mississippi College where she earned degrees in elementary education. She is a teacher with the Hinds County School District

Captain Carter is a graduate of Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Ga. and Samford University where he earned a degree in religion. He is currently stationed at Fort Polk, La.

Wedding vows will be exchanged Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at Provine Chapel on the campus of Mississippi College.
