A new look

Readers will notice that we have made some changes to the layout and design of the editorial page and broadened it to two pages. Its location has also been moved.

The layout is more traditional, reflecting The Democrat's rich 151-year heritage. The columnists and content

remains about the same but we were often hard pressed to get in everything that was available and that is why we expanded to two pages.

The editorial pages are the heart and soul of a newspaper. We encourage the public to comment on issues and other matters through columns and letters.
