New fire truck
Grove Hill firefighters took possession of a new 3,000 gallon pumper truck last week. Above, town councilman and fireman Levon Hicks presents Grady Aultman of Deep South Truck and Equipment Sales, Inc. in Seminary, Miss. with a check for $221,323 for the new Peterbilt rig. From left are Chris McVay and Tommy Phillips, Hicks, Aultman, Fire Chief Buddy Jordan, Adam Jordan and DeWayne Huggins. At left, McVay and Phillips check out the canvas water dump tank that automatically deploys from the side of the pumper. Firemen say the new truck will provided adequate water supply for fires in areas that do not have accessible water or where water flow is not sufficient.
