Chastain Roberta O. Chastain, 82, of Jackson died Dec. 28, 2006 at her residence in Jackson. She was born Oct. 27, 1924. She was a native of Chatom. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, John J. Chastain, Jackson; one daughter, Julie C. (Rickie) Clanton, Coffeeville; one sister, Marion O. Brown, Chatom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe J. Chastain. A graveside service was Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
The family will accept flowers but stated that you may give donations to the Coffeeville Public Library Fund for the purpose of purchasing books for the proposed new library.
