Morgan John Harper Morgan, 78, of Gilbertown died Dec. 25, 2006 at Rush Memorial Hospital in Meridian, Miss. He was born Nov. 7, 1928 in Wilcox County. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church. He was a former saw mill worker. Survivors include three sons, Mark Morgan, Donnie Morgan, Paul Morgan, all of Camden; two daughters, Diane Morgan, Camden, Marsha (Raymond) Young, Gilbertown; two special friends, Mrs. M.E. Young, Gilbertown and Mrs. Louise Williams, Camden; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. A graveside service was Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. in the Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill with Revs. Leon Ross and Marvin Smith Jr. officiating. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed. Active pallbearers were Gene Autrey, Jackie Autrey, Wayne Dumas, Larry Dumas, Robert Dumas and Billy Newton.
Honorary pallbearers were Charlie Tyler, Koss Green, Dan Harvell, Don Harvell, Dennis Harvell, Russell Harvell, Clarence Harvell, Gray Harvell and Tommy Nelson.
