Reeves-Wade honored with engagement party at Headquarters

Jody Reeves, daughter of Sissy and Kenny Reeves of Jackson and Walt Wade, son of Kim Wade of Jackson and Leon Wade of Grove Hill, were honored with an engagement party on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006 at Headquarters in Jackson.

Hosting the event were Mr. and Mrs. George W. Skipper III, Jennifer and George Skipper, Debra and Richard Skipper, Meagan Skipper and Jessica Thomas, all of Jackson. Others assisting in the event were Malorie Rogers and Ashley Bates, both of Jackson and Lauren Huckabee of West Bend.

Special guests attending were grandparents of the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Oris Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Holland Reeves, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Claxton, all of Jackson, Teresa Wade of Grove Hill, stepmother of the groom-elect, Jason Reeves and Jeremy Reeves, both of Jackson and brothers of the bride-elect, Fallon Wade of Jackson, sister of the groom-elect, aunts, uncles, cousins, members of the wedding party and the University of Alabama's cheerleading squad.

A Christmas theme was used throughout. Globes filled with red and gold ornaments were placed on the center of each table.

Toasts were made to the couple by maid of honor, Malorie Rogers and best man, Willie Williams of Jackson.

A DVD presentation, which included photos from the beginning to present of the bride-elect and groom-elect's relationship, was shown.

A menu of grilled beef tenderloin, twice baked potatoes, green bean bundles, green salad, rolls and turtle trifle was served.

Entertainment was provided by the Wayne Mills Band of Tuscaloosa.
