Boykin

Virginia McKeller Boykin, 85, of Monroeville died Jan. 7, 2007 at the home of her daughter.

She was born Dec. 18, 1921 to the parentage of Jake McKeller and Lillie Phelps McKeller. She was a native of Frankville. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church of Frankville. She served as a Sunday School teacher, director of the Baptist Training Union and was president of the senior missionaries and manger of the church cafeteria. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Larry James Boykin, George Franklin Boykin, Michael Joe Grimes, all of Frankville, Robert Charles (Angela) Boykin, Thomasville; five daughters, Jenice (Nathaniel) Biggs, Sweet Water, Vernice (Porter) Boman, Frankville, Lou Ida Boykin, Monroeville, Wilhemenia Boykin, Beulah Boykin, both of Montgomery; five grandchildren.

The service was Jan. 10 at 12 noon at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Frankville with Rev. Richmond Chaney, eulogist. Burial was in the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Frankville. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
