McHaney

Everette James McHaney, 84, of Jackson died Jan. 4, 2007 in an area medical facility.

He was born May 29, 1922. He was a native of Nettlesboro. He was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church. He was retired from maintenance at Ciba Geigy.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby McHaney, Jackson; two daughters, Jeanette Stokes, Jackson, Nancy Haley, Dalton, Ga.; stepson, B.B. Palmer, Brundridge; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

The service was Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson. Burial was in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

Active pallbearers were John Moseley, Billo Howell, Leslie Hoven, Asberr Daffin, Doug Atchison, Thomas Beverly and Billy Allday.

Honorary pallbearers were Lee Moseley, Johnny Moseley, Bryant Palmer, J.J. Stoker and Dean Moseley.
