CCHS drops area game to Chatom

The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs had a rough weekend as they lost both an area game and county-rival game.

Saturday night the Lady Bulldogs lost 53-41 to the Lady Tigers of Thomasville in Thomasville.

Erica Moore led CCHS with 21 points, two rebounds, four steals and three assists. Minetre Martin added seven points, two rebounds, a steal and an assist. Ebony Hughes had four points and two rebounds. Stephanie Robinson had three points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two assists. Nakeshia Coats added six points and two boards.

Friday night CCHS traveled to Chatom and lost 53-48 to the Lady Bulldogs of Washington County in a key area game.

Robinson led Clarke County with 14 points, 15 rebounds and two assists. Moore had 13 points, five rebounds, two steals and four assists. Hughes had eight points and four rebounds. Kiara Gildersleeve added five points and four rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Mobile Tuesday to face Mobile Christian in a big area game. Friday they get another shot at Washington County as they play host. Next Tuesday CCHS closes out area play as they host Mobile Christian.

The results from these games will be in next week's Democrat.
