New revenue commissioner
Chris Beverly was sworn in Tuesday as Clarke County revenue commissioner. He was appointed by Gov. Bob Riley to fill the remaining two years of Jay Duke's term when Duke moved to the circuit clerk's office. Probate Judge Becky Presnall administered the oath while his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer Beverly, look on.
