Brewer Jesse Richard Brewer, 64, of Jackson died Jan. 11, 2007 at a local hospital. He was born May 31, 1942. He was a native of Rose Hill, Miss. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson. He was a retired E & I supervisor with Ciba Specialty Chemicals. Survivors include his wife, Barbara M. Brewer, Jackson; two sons, Billy (Tammy) Brewer, Greg Brewer, all of Jackson; two sisters, Peggy B. Wilder, Peachtree City, Ga., Rheba B. McNeely, Jackson; four grandchildren. The service was Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Fowler Betty Ann Morgan Fowler, 65, of Grove Hill died Jan. 9, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born April 25, 1941 in Coffeeville to the late James Curtis Morgan Sr. and Ruby Walker Morgan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grove Hill. She was a retired office secretary with Alfa Insurance. Survivors include her husband, Billy Fowler, Grove Hill; two sons, William Curtis "Bill" (Jody) Fowler, Montgomery, John Barry Fowler, Grove Hill; one sister, Inez Beek, Daphne; her stepmother, Velma Woodard, Grove Hill; four granddaughters, Emily Fowler, Abbey Fowler, Audrey Fowler, all of Montgomery, Rebecca Fowler, Grove Hill. The service was Jan. 11 at 1 p.m. at the Grove Hill Baptist Church with Revs. David Curtis, Jerry Gibson, Johnny Arnett and Randy Boone officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed. Active pallbearers were Sammy Fendley, Deran Morgan, Lee Carlisle, Jimmy Morgan, Steve Kennedy and Eddie Slayton.
Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Rivers, Ray Sheffield, Clarence Watters, Charles Bouler, Gray Smith Jr., Willie Welch, Mikey Wiggins, Joe Oliver, John Richburg, John Becton, Grove Hill Fire Department and area law enforcement officers.
