Betty Ann Morgan Fowler
Betty Ann Morgan Fowler, 65, one of God's chosen angels was called home to be with Him on January 9th, 2007 at a local hospital. Born April 25, 1941, in Coffeeville to the late James Curtis Morgan Sr. and Ruby Walker Morgan, and was raised by Velma Woodard whom her father married after the death of her mother. Mrs. Fowler, a resident of Grove Hill, AL, was a retired office secretary with Alfa Insurance and a member of First Baptist Church of Grove Hill, AL. She had many names by those who loved her so dear - wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend and fellow believer.You were truly one of God's greatest gifts to all of us. We love you and know that you are rejoicing in Heaven with your Savior. We love you and you will forever be with us. We are blessed to have had you in our lives. Love, Billy, Barry, Bill, Jody, Emily, Abbey, Audrey, Rebecca, Velma, Inez, Ouida and the late J.C. Morgan, Ann, Nell and the rest of your friends and family that love you so much. Survivors include her husband, Billy Fowler, Grove Hill, AL; two sons, William Curtis "Bill" (Jody) Fowler, Montgomery,AL, John Barry Fowler, Grove Hill, AL; four granddaughters, Emily Fowler, Abbey Fowler, Audrey Fowler, all of Montgomery,AL, Rebecca Fowler, Grove Hill, AL; one sister, Inez Beek, Daphne; her stepmother, Velma Woodard, Grove Hill, AL; three sister-inlaws, Ann Johnson, Monroeville, AL, Nell Brunson, Grove Hill, AL, Ouida Morgan, Calvert, wife of the late J.C. Morgan. Visitation was Thursday, January 11, 2007 from 11 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at Grove Hill Baptist Church. Officiating were Rev. David Curtis, Rev. Jerry Gibson, Rev. Johnny Arnett and Rev. Randy Boone, Pianist was Virginia Garrick. Burial was in Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill, AL. Active pallbearers were Sammy Fendley, Deran Morgan, Lee Carlisle, Jimmy Morgan, Steve Kennedy and Eddie Slayton. Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Rivers, Ray Sheffield, Clarence Watters, Charles Bouler, Gray Smith Jr., Willie Welch, Mikey Wiggins, Joe Oliver, John Richburg, John Becton, Grove Hill Fire Department and area law enforcement officers. Arrangements by Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill, AL.
