CPS' hoops season comes to an end

The Clarke Prep School Gators closed out the 2006-07 basketball season last Thursday as they lost 77- 40 to host team Faith in Mobile.

Chad Dickinson led CPS with 21 points.

The Gators ended the regular season by beating county-rival Jackson Academy 54-33 in Jackson last Monday.

Dickinson had 18 points. Taylor Becton added 16 points. Tyler Sellers had 14 points.

On Jan. 26 CPS lost 92-19 to Cottage Hill.

Dickinson had 12 points and Becton added seven for the Gators.

The Lady Gators also ended their season in Mobile as they fell 59-32 to the Lady Rams of Faith.

Corrie Allen had 16 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Rachel Mayton had 10 points and five rebounds. Julie Banks had five points and four rebounds.

Last Monday the Lady Gators lost 55-49 to Jackson Academy in Jackson.

Allen had 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead the team. Mayton added six points and four rebounds. Leandra Morgan had four points and seven rebounds. Whitney Larrimore and Banks each added five points.

On Jan. 26 CPS lost 73-46 to Cottage Hill.

Allen had 34 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Harley Horton added nine points and eight rebounds.
