Holt inks with West Alabama
Sweet Water High School linebacker/running back Dominic Holt signed a letter-of-intent last Wednesday to play football at the University of West Alabama. While at Sweet Water was named all-state three straight years, was named Class 1A Lineman of the Year for the 2006 season and was named the Southwest Alabama All-Region Defensive Player of the Year three straight seasons. Here he signs with his mother Kallie and head coach Stacy Luker seated with him. Standing, left to right: assistant coach Mark Davis, Principal Stan Stokely and assistant coach Andro Williams. Other area players also signed with UWA as Jackson wide receiver Demarquis Besteda and Fruitdale lineman Joesph Berndard inked with the Tigers this past week.
