Jackson Citizen of Year honored
Jackson High School teacher Audra Raybon, center, was honored at the annual Citizen of the Year banquet, Feb. 15, sponsored by the Jackson Civitan Club. At left is Civitan Club President Bubba Deas who presented her with the award and at right is her husband, Brian Raybon. Brian Raybon, Helen Guy and Harla Barnes all spoke at the banquet and noted the honoree's involvement in the community. Audra Raybon said "This experience has been absolutely wonderful. Many of the past citizens of the year are role models for me. Many have shown we what compassion is." She coined a new phrase, "OCD" or "Obsessive Community Disorder," which she said is exactly what motivates her to be so involved in the community. "I have the greatest resources around me in this community," she said. "You have made me who I am."
