Lady Bulldogs season ends at Calhoun
      The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs saw their basketball season come to an end this past Tuesday as they fell 72- 55 to the Lady Tigers of Calhoun in a game much closer than the final score indicated. Calhoun scored nine points in the closing minute to blow open a close game.

Open Buddy bass tourney set for March 17
      The Monroe County Bass Anglers will be sponsoring an Open Buddy Bass Tournament on Saturday, March 17 at Ellis Landing in Miller's Ferry. The entry fee for the event is $80 per boat which includes a $10 lunker pot. There is a five fish limit and they must be 12 inchs in length.

      The Clarke County High School Bulldogs lost 5-2 to the Millry Wildcats in the baseball season opener Monday afternoon in Millry. "We made too many mental errors in the field and on the bases to win a tight ball game," Coach Chris Young said. "You can not do those types of things and hope to win.
