Chili Cook-Off part of spring jubiliee festivities

The Clarke County Association for Retarded Citizens (CCARC) Open House/Spring Jubilee is the organization's annual fundraiser. It is also a day set aside to celebrate the capabilities of individuals with cognitive disabilities.

Kicking off the event at 8:30 a.m. on Sat., March 17 there will be the fifth annual 5k/1m fun walk and the annual "Cruisin' for CCARC" charity ride sponsored by the Clarke County Chapter of Southern Cruisers at 10 a.m. John Rodgers with WMBV will be the guest emcee for the day.

Other events throughout the day will be a Cake Sale and Cake Walk, Silent Antique and Art Auction, County Wide Chili Cook-Off, Dog costume contest, games, horse/buggy rides, entertainment and more.

March is Mental Retardation Awareness Month so don't forget to join the CCARC. You can do this at the Spring Jubilee.
