Home grown pot- literally
According to Investigator Ron Baggett, the Clarke County Sheriff's Department had received a tip that Bumpers had an indoor grove of marijuana. When officers searched the residence they found a marijuana plant in the bedroom, along with a special watering system, thermometer and alternate light source for the plant, two bags weighing eight and a half grams of brown leafy substance believed to be marijuana packaged for possible distribution, two pills which were determined to be controlled substances also packaged in clear plastic, a small amount of cash and a 12 gauge shotgun. Officers executing the warrant were Baggett, Deputy Steve Carlisle, Deputy Matt Flora, Deputy Joe Allen and Deputy Jim Mundie.
Bumpers was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, second degree, possession of marijuana, first degree, possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
