Drinkard

Charles Nettles Drinkard Jr., 55, of Linden died Feb. 26, 2007 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.

He was born April 25, 1951 in Selma. He was a cattle farmer. He was director of Central Alabama Co-op. He was a member of the Alabama Cattlemen Association.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Drinkard, Linden; his father, Bill Drinkard, Linden; his mother, Pat Drinkard, Linden; two sons, Chase (Suzanne) Drinkard, Gabe Drinkard, both of Linden; two daughters, Alice (Gary) Majors, West Blocton, Carol (Kevin) Dixon, Linden; one brother, Tim Drinkard, Auburn; two sisters, Anna Carol Dixon, Albertville, Patti Gibbs, Camden; two grandchildren.

The service was Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rob Wynne officiating. Burial was at Linden Memorial Park. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed.

Active pallbearers were Billy Trotter, Jared Hasty, Rich Quinney, John Brame, Jeremy May and Steve Miller.

Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Pope, Charlie Martin, Jimmy Sealy, T.A. Simpson, Russell Gibbs, John Gibbs, Sebie Sellers, Milton Vick and Robert Wallace.
