Many attend Bubba Dotson's funeral
Chance Baptist Church of Chance will observe its annual Family and Friends Day Sunday, March 11. Morning worship services will begin at 11:30 a.m. All surrounding churches, families and friends of Chance Baptist are encouraged to come and join in this yearly observance. Rev. Charley Marshall Sr. is the pastor. Condolences are extended to the family of Henry Lee (Bubba) Dotson of Chance, who passed away recently. Funeral services for him were held on Saturday, March 3 from the Chance Baptist Church. He was the husband of Pezzie Dotson and the son of Mrs. Dot Dotson and the late Tommie Dotson. There were many family and friends in Chance this weekend for Bubba's home going celebration. Those included his daughters, Gwen from Toledo, Ohio, Scharnette from Virginia; his brothers and sisters from Detroit and Flint, Mich.; his cousins from Cincinnati, Ohio and many others who came to pay their respects. Bubba was well known for his compassion towards animals, especially horses and his love of hunting. He will certainly be missed.
