Letters to the Editor Dear Editor, We would like to extend our most sincere appreciation for one particular business in Grove Hill, Alabama. That business being Clarke County Animal Hospital. Our names are Michael Huseby, Cheri Holley and Cinnamon which is our family's bulldog. Our story starts out Monday, Feb. 26 around 5 a.m. We were awakened by someone speeding down our driveway and we thought they were crazy and going to run through our camper. This person in question turned out to be our neighbor, Tim Flinn. He had seen our dog Cinnamon get hit by a vehicle and came to tell us. We then went to pick her up off the side of the road and started calling veterinary hospitals. We called every veterinary hospital in the book while in transit towards Jackson which is 20 miles away. By the time we got to Jackson, no one would respond to our calls. Then we saw Dr. Ed Sellers, D.V.M.'s emergency phone number. We called his number and he immediately responded. We proceeded to Grove Hill with our family's pet in severe pain. When we arrived there we didn't have to wait long for Animal Handler, Brenda Richardson, to arrive well before her scheduled work time. This was at around 6:50 a.m. By her showing up and letting us in, gave us a great sense of relief. We believe she went well above the call of duty in the kindness and dedication that she bestowed upon us. When the other staff members arrived they responded to Cinnamon's injuries extremely well and fast. Dr. Sellers took up an exceptional amount of time explaining to us Cinnamon's condition, (which were a busted pelvis and a broken leg). He made us not only feel comforted; he also explained in explicit detail on how to care for her condition. There is also something we didn't mention before and that being the care of her nine puppies she had just had two weeks prior. For as you can see she can no longer care for them. Cinnamon is now healing very well and the puppies are also. If it had not been for the combined efforts of Tim Flinn, our neighbor, Brenda Richardson, Dr. Sellers and the entire staff at Clarke County Animal Hospital, our nine little puppies would have been motherless. So Mike, Cheri, Cinnamon and all nine little hounds would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Michael Huseby, Cheri Holley, Cinnamon and youngins Sgt.
