      A meeting of the Clarke county Citizens Advisory Committee of the Alabama Tombigbee Rural Planning Organization (RPO) has been scheduled for March 20, 6 p.m., in the auditorium of the Alabama Department of Transportation building in Grove Hill. The public is invited to attend.

Bridge work on 69
      Construction crews have nearly completed the temporary detour bridge over Stave Creek on Highway 69 north of Jackson. Work will then start on tearing out the old, narrow bridge and replacing it.

Open house at new C'ville Town Hall March 25

      The Coffeeville Town Council met for the first time at the new Coffeeville Town Hall March 6. Two events were planned for the new facility. Open House will be held there Sunday, March 25, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. A community egg hunt will be held in the park area April 7.

Old Bedsole's sold and to be remodeled in downtown T'ville
      Thomasville Mayor Sheldon Day reported several new business permits on U.S. 43 at Monday's council meeting.
