TCOC weekend gospel

Thomasville Church Of Christ located at the corner of Third Street and Worl will have a weekend gospel meeting Friday, March 16 through Sunday, March 18. There will be different speakers each service. Friday and Saturday nights will be at 7:30 p.m. and services Sunday will be 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Fantastic Sons of Faith

Thomasville Church Of Christ will celebrate the 7th year anniversary of the Fantastic Sons of Faith Saturday, March 17 at 6:30 p.m. All groups, choirs and soloists are invited. Greater Ebenezer Choir

Day

Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church located on Highway 84 West in Coffeeville will have its annual Choir Day Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m. Each choir/soloist is asked to sing an A/B selection. Refreshments will be served. Deacon Eugene Coats is the church clerk. Rev. Albert Ridgeway is the pastor.

Star of Zion anniversary

Star of Zion A.M.E. Zion Church located on Depot Road in Jackson will have its 113th church anniversary Sunday, March 18 at 3 p.m. Rev. James Powell Sr., presiding elder, pastor of Pilgrim Rest A.M.E. Zion Church of Mobile will be the speaker of the hour. Sister Hazel Howze is the clerk. Rev. Irmatine T. Chastang is the pastor.

Cedar Point anniversary

Cedar Point Baptist Church located on Highway 31 in the West Bend community of Coffeeville will have its church anniversary Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m. Rev. Johnny Hartifield and his congregation of the New Rock Baptist Church of Millry will be the special guests. Rev. James Chaney is the pastor.

Greater New Hope special

Greater New Hope A.M.E. Church of Millry will have its Men's and Women's Day Celebration Sunday, March 18 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Larry McLaurin, pastor of the New True Light Baptist Church of Millry will be the guest speaker. Sister Gladys Daniels is the secretary. Rev. Ivory James is the pastor.

First Baptist Homecoming

First Baptist Church located on Highway 69 North at West Bend Road in Coffeeville will have its Homecoming 2007 Sunday, March 18 beginning at 10 a.m. with fellowship time, coffee and conservation, 10:30 a.m., worship time with Keith Graham preaching, 12:15 p.m., covered dish meal and 1:15 p.m., afternoon praise gathering featuring The Cullomburg Quartet. There will be no evening service.

New Home supper/singing

New Home Church near Monroeville will have a special fundraising supper and singing featuring "Naomi and The Segos" Friday, March 23. A chicken and pork supper will begin at 5 p.m. and the singing will be at 7 p.m. Plates are $6 and carry-outs will be available. There will be no admission charge for the singing but a love-offering will be taken. This event is being sponsored by the Woodlawn Methodist Church and proceeds from the supper will go to the revival fund. The Revs. Kenneth Johnson and Thomas Smith invite everyone to attend. New Home is located between Repton and Monroeville north of Highway 84 East, one mile east of the skating rink.

Benefit program at Spencer

Rev. Clausell Boykin along with Men Making A Difference will be sponsoring a benefit program for Mrs. Gloria (Tootsie) Todd and Clarence (Duck) Sumlin Saturday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church of Fulton. All choirs, groups and soloists are invited. Rev. W.T. Lesueur is the pastor.

Mt. Gilead revival

Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Carlton will have its spring revival service beginning Sunday, March 25 at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be James Kimball. Revival services will begin Monday, March 26 through Friday, March 30 at 7 p.m. nightly. Youth Day will be March 25. Rev. L.E. Bush is the pastor.

First Assembly special

First Assembly of God will feature Martin Case, singer and songwriter Sunday, March 25 at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. He was been featured as artist of the week on American Family Radio. His new project is almost finished and seven songs can be previewed @ indieheaven.com/artists/martincase. First Assembly is located at 2410 Coffeeville Road, across from the National Guard Armory in Jackson.

Friendship Homecoming set

Friendship Baptist Church of Coffeeville will have its Homecoming 2007 Sunday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. with the service at 11 a.m. Marvin Smith will be the guest speaker. A covered dish lunch will be at 12 p.m. and an afternoon singing at 1:15 p.m. featuring the Dixie Disciples of Thomasville.

Saint Peter's anniversary

The Saint Peter Baptist Church in the Allen community will be celebrating its 144th church anniversary Sunday, April 1 beginning with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., morning worship service at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Matthew Davis and ending at 2 p.m. with the guest speaker, Rev. Derrick Powell, pastor of the Good Hope Baptist Church of Salitpa. Rev. Matthew Davis is the pastor.

Palm Sunday events

The Palm Sunday, April 1, schedule of masses for the Catholic community will be Saturday, March 31 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 at 11:30 a.m., both at Sacred Heart in Grove Hill. There will be no masses celebrated in Thomasville or Jackson on Palm Sunday.

Greater Ebenezer special

The Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church located on Highway 84 West of Coffeeville will have its annual Men's and Women's Day Program Sunday, April 1 at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Donald Reed. Refreshments will be served. Deacon Eugene Coats is the church clerk. Rev. Albert Ridgeway is the pastor.
