Curtis Rufus "Bott" Curtis, 76, of Morvin died March 10, 2007 at Birmingham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 2, 1930. He was a former resident of Mt. Vernon. He was born to the parentage of the late William Burl Curtis and Minnie Wicks Curtis. He was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Morvin. Survivors include five brothers, James (Alberta) Curtis, Lawrenceville, Ga., William Earl Curtis, Saraland, Rev. George (Inez) Curtis, McIntosh, John Walter (Mary) Curtis, Neptune, N.J., Samuel Payne Curtis, Asberry Park, N.J.; two sisters-in-law.
The service will be Saturday, March 17 at 12 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Morvin with Rev. David Fuller to officiate. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The funeral cortege will leave the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson will direct.
