Daffin

Fred L. Daffin, 83, of Atlanta, Ga. died March 1, 2007 at Peach Tree Christian Hospice.

He was born Nov. 7, 1923. He was a native of Grove Hill.

Survivors include one son, Stephon (Linda) Daffin; one daughter, Yvonne (Roger Sr.) Stanton; four brothers, Johnson (Jewel) Daffin Jr., Zack Daffin, Manard (Mary) Daffin, Carver (Mary Joe) Daffin; two sisters, Clara (W.C.) Callier, Lucinda Gavin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several brother and sister-in-laws and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Nettie G. Daffin.

The service was March 9 at 12 p.m. at Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Barren Sr. officiating. Burial was in the Orange Hill Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home directed.
