Baker

Betty Baker, 85, of Sweet Water died March 13, 2007 at Queen City Nursing Home in Meridian, Miss.

She was born Nov. 27, 1921 in Nanafalia. She was a member of the Nanafalia Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include five sons, George (Beverly) Baker, Arkadelphia, Ark., Danny (Patricia) Baker, Meridian, Miss., Claude Phillip (Jibbie) Baker, Atlanta, Ga., Patrick (Pam) Baker, Tuscaloosa, Gary (Sheila) Baker, Northport; one brother, Matt Mathers, Nanafalia; three sisters, Evelyn Lawson, Ocean Springs, Miss., Jean Pritchett, Chatom, Nell Ross, Butler; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

The service was March 16 at 11 a.m. at the Nanafalia Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Baker officiating. Burial was in the Nanafalia Baptist Church Cemetery. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Adam Baker, Daniel Baker, Edward Baker, Brady Baker, Cain Baker and Kieffer Townsend.
