Woodard Velma Morgan Woodard, 74, of Grove Hill died March 29, 2007 at a local hospital. She was born June 21, 1932. She was a member of the Grove Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills. Survivors include one daughter, Inez Beek, Daphne; five brothers, Joe Bedwell, York, Herman Bedwell, Mobile, Monroe Ott, Coffeeville, Leroy Bedwell Jr., York, Charles Bedwell, Dothan; one sister, Minnie Sumrall, Mobile; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Fowler and son, James Curtis "JC" Morgan Jr. The service was March 31 at 2 p.m. at the Grove Hill Baptist Church with Rev. David Curtis officiating. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery in Grove Hill. Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill directed. Active pallbearers were Randy Bedwell, Wally Bedwell, Craig Hodge, Flin Suther, Benji Elmore, Jimmy Morgan and Deran Morgan.
