York Jessie McMullen York, 93, of Jackson died April 1, 2007 at an area health care facility. She was born Nov. 17, 1913. She was a native of Salitpa. She was a member of Riverhill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Eddie York, Saraland, Arlen York, Jackson; two daughters, Faye Oversteet Pugh, Jackson, Flo Burks, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Willie Kate McDonald, Baton Rouge, La.; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. The service was April 3 at 2 p.m. at Riverhill Baptist Church in Salitpa with Revs. Wilton Bennett and Tommy York officiating. Burial was in the Riverhill Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Riverhill Baptist Church of Salitpa.
