Thrash

James Thrash, 83, of Thomasville died March 29, 2007 at Thomasville Nursing Home.

He was born April 21, 1923 in

Pennington. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was a retired

maintenance worker for MacMillan Bloedel.

Survivors include his wife, Janise Elizabeth Thrash, Sunny South; two sons, Billy (Laura) Thrash, Sunny South, Larry Joe (Pam) Thrash, Picayune, Miss.; three daughters, Linda (Jim) Ramshur, Columbia, Miss., Phyllis (Eric) Leeton, Thomasville, Sharon (Jason) Crosby, Sunny South; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

The service was March 31 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Robert Dean and Denny Couturie officiating. Burial was in the Sunny South Baptist Church Cemetery. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.

Active pallbearers were Shannon Averitt, Andy Averitt, Zachary Crosby, Lane Crosby, Jason Ramshur, Justin Thrash and Eric Leeton Jr.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or the Gideons International. O'Bryant Chapel
