CCHS Lady Bulldogs split DH with Escambia County The Clarke County High School Lady Bulldogs improved their record to 9-6 as they split a double-header with Escambia County last Tuesday in Atmore. In the first game the Lady Bulldogs beat Escambia 6-4. Nicki Harvell led the way at the plate as she went 3-for-4 with a triple. Ayesha Dickinson went 2- for-4. Abby Walker, Brittney Harvell, Carrie Gordon and Nikki Williams each added a hit. Ericka Williams (9-4) pitched all seven innings, allowing four hits, while walking five and fanning nine. CCHS was edged 14-13 in the second game. N. Harvell again paced the team as she went 2-for-4. B. Harvell, Gordon, Hannah Barnes, E. Williams and Brittney Dunson all had hits. Walker drew three free passes. Abbey Walker (0-2) took the loss in two innings of work. E. Williams pitched the other four frames. Last Monday the Lady Bulldogs beat the visiting Lady Tigers of Choctaw County 6-4. E. Williams (9-4) pitched all seven innings to get the win. Gordon was 2-for-3 with a triple to pace CCHS at the plate. B. Harvell and Dickinson had the other two hits. CCHS traveled to Excel Tuesday afternoon for a doubleheader. Thursday they host Mobile Christian. On Friday they host Millry.
