Area students awarded scholarships to UWA

Two Clarke County students were recently awarded Trustees Scholarships to attend The University of West Alabama in Livingston. These awards, which are based on academic achievement and proven leadership potential, come from the UWA Office of Admissions.

Tabatha D. Taylor of Pine Hill earns a $6,000 academic scholarship. She is a senior at Thomasville High School.

Michael L. Thomas of Coffeeville receives a $10,000 academic scholarship. A senior at Coffeeville High School, he plans to major in business administration.

Amanda N. West of Thomasville earns a $6,000 leadership scholarship. A senior at Clarke Preparatory School, she plans to major in radiology.
