Help encourage would-be moms to attend prenatal classes

The Clarke County Health Department is going to start prenatal classes and needs incentive items for moms who participate in these classes.

The health department will have drawings of items for moms who participate to encourage their attendance and need your help.

All you have to do is drop off the items you purchase at the following locations, Wal-Mart in Jackson and Thomasville (see customer service), Goody's in Thomasville, Gifts and Giggles in Jackson, Monograms & Things in Jackson, Shae's Rays in Grove Hill.

If you purchase items from other locations and would like to donate them, they can also be dropped off at the Clarke County Health Department.

Some ideas of items needed are:

Diapers, wipes, diaper rash ointment, blankets, lotion, bath gel, pacifiers, rattles, bottles, baby wash cloths, hooded towels, baby bath tubs, Q-tips, combs and brushes, nail clippers, socks and booties, burp cloths, car seats, onesies and baby clothes.

If you have any questions please contact Suzanne Terrell of the Clarke County Health Dept. (251-275-4177).
