Salitpa home damaged in storm
Salitpa firemen and other volunteers worked to cover the damage done by a falling tree to the home of Lee Finney on Highway 69 in Salitpa Saturday afternoon. The tree fell during a heavy wind and rainstorm that dumped several inches of rain on the area in a short period of time. Several small trees and tops were blown across Highway 69 between Jackson and Coffeeville and some roads were temporarily flooded by the heavy rains. See photos of the rain in Grove Hill on the front page.
