Brooks Infant Shawn Nicholas Brooks of Dixons Mills died April 9, 2007. He was born March 19, 2007 in Grove Hill. Survivors include his mother, Tracy Brooks Dixon, Dixons Mills; his father, Jesse Floyd Jackson Jr., Thomasville; one sister, Kala Dixon, Dixons Mills; maternal grandparents, Rob and Sherry Brooks, Atlanta, Ga., Elsie Brooks, Scottsboro; Paternal grandparents, Floyd and Renee Jackson, Thomasville; great-grandparents, Robert and Jean Brooks, Jackson, Evelyn Collins, Scottsboro, Jack and Linda Hunt, Thomasville; two uncles, two aunts, god-parents, Melvin and Carole Dixon, Dixons Mills. He was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Kristi Hunt Jackson.
A graveside service was April 13 at 2 p.m. in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville with Rev. Denny Couturie officiating. O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
