Russell Earnest George Russell, 67, of Coffeeville died April 11, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born Jan. 3, 1930. Survivors include one brother, Cecil Thomas, Coffeeville; four sisters, devoted Dorothy Thomas, Coffeeville, Margert Sherrod, Queens, N.Y., Pecolia (Aubrey) Handy, Mansfield, La., Willie Mae Garnes, Patterson, N.J.; one aunt; five devoted nieces; two nephews and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Russell Thomas; stepfather, Willie Thomas and two brothers, Willie July Russell and Obie Thomas.
The service was April 18 at 11 a.m. at Cedar Point Baptist Church of Coffeeville. Burial was in the Cedar Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Reese Funeral Home of Thomasville directed.
