Lady Gators fall in Tuscaloosa DH

The Clarke Prep School Lady Gators traveled to Tuscaloosa last Friday and dropped both ends of a double-header.

In the second game they lost 11-4.

Katelyn Dunagan was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Jessica McKinley was 2-for-3. Haley Hill, Tess Ackerman and Corrie Allen each added a hit.

Ackerman took the loss.

In the first game they fell 10-3.

Kay Kay Grochell and Allen each went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Hill also had a hit.

Allen shouldered the loss for the Lady Gators.

Last Tuesday Clarke Prep traveled to Monroeville and hammered the Lady Volunteers 14-4.

Grocholl had the hot bat as she went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and five RBI. Hill was 1-for-3 with a homer and four RBI. Allen went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Ackerman had a double. McKinley added an RBI.

Allen fanned five in earning the win.

Thursday (today) they travel to Selma to play Morgan. Friday they host Fort Dale. Next Tuesday they travel to Mobile to play Faith.

The results from these games will be in next week's Democrat.
