Man previously arrested for theft now charged with sex offenses

A man arrested several weeks ago on theft charges has been arrested again, this time on sexually related charges.

Paul Kenneth Anderson, 41, was arrested April 18 and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, enticing a child for immoral purposes and pornography distribution to a minor.

"This stemmed from a search warrant we conducted at Anderson's residence after having received information he was involved with minor children. We gathered evidence that a 15-yearold has been involved with Anderson," Clarke County Sheriff's Department Investigator Ron Baggett said.

A forensic interview has been conducted with the teenager.

Evidence off of Anderson's computer has been submitted to the Office of Prosecution Services Alabama District Attorney Association.

"The case is still under investigation. It's possible Anderson has been involved with minors for a number of years and some of them may be adults now. Anyone who has been involved with this man while they were, or are, minors should contact me at the sheriff's department," Baggett added.

Ricky Wallace, the former mayor of Repton, was arrested April 21 on alcohol charges by Coffeeville Police Chief Clint Harrell.

Harrell stopped Wallace for running 68 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone and for not having a tag.

"Once I got him stopped I realized he was under the influence of alcohol. I took him to the jail and tested him and he registered a .09," Harrell said.

Wallace was charged with driving under the influence and possession of alcohol.
